Relevant keywords throughout the content helps search engines work out the content.  However, one should also be careful not to put too much of the keywords for that sole purpose as there can be punishments for that.

 

Keyword density should generally only be 2-5% to avoid getting banned from search engines.

  1. Image SEO

Images make every site more visually appealing and are used to break long paragraphs.  A tip would be to always put a title that includes relevant keywords to your images.

  1. Internal Linking

Internal links help build page relevance along with the keywords that increases its chance for higher ranking.  These links may be content links or permanent navigation links.
